5 Good Study Snacks

Studying and feeling motivated to study can definitely be challenging at times. There are a million other things that you would rather be doing than studying. We all feel that study “blah” sometimes. You know, when you’re staring at the book but can’t seem to comprehend anything that you’re reading. We also get the munchies too, which doesn’t help anything. Well, if studying just isn’t going well and you’re reaching for the bag of chips, stop! These are the top five study snacks that you need to be eating to help increase your studying performance and keep you feeling healthier all day long.

SNACK #1: Almonds
Almonds are literally the best brain food for you. They are a great snack to eat, especially when mixed in trail mix, and they are packed full good things for your body. If you’re not a big fan of plain almonds, try almond butter with apples for a nice fruity treat.

SNACK #2: Fruit
Fruit is full of good sugars for your body which can keep you going during your hour long study break. There’s no energy crash with fruit, so you can stay awake all day to keep reading. We recommend apples, blueberries, and strawberries for you to eat first.

SNACK #3: Multi-Grain Crackers
Crackers are by far the easiest snack food to reach for. They are filling and don’t crumble everywhere or get juice all over your books. Multi-grain crackers are far better for you than regular crackers and can help keep you feeling more full so you snack less and study more!

SNACK #4: Leafy Green Vegetables
Leafy green vegetables are the powerhouse for the body. They are packed with nutrients and fiber, which can keep you awake and alert. Plus, many vegetables can stimulate the brain a bit to work better. Broccoli or Kale is always a good place to start, but you can always have a simple salad as well.

SNACK #5: Pretzels and Hummus
This happens to be one of my favorite snacks. Hummus has been found to be good for you, and delicious as well, and when combined with pretzels you get the best of both worlds! It can keep you full and it isn’t as messy as some other snacks.
